Allison Ernst


Allison ErnstMs. Ernst graduated from Michigan State University College of Law, and received an Equal Justice Works Fellowship for the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at Michigan State University. She married her husband, a Chief Warrant Officer on Active Duty with the U.S. Army, and moved with him to Colorado almost 11 years ago. She was hired with the Colorado Public Defenders Office, spending 6 years defending indigent clients. She has been in private practice since that time, expanding her legal skills beyond just criminal cases. Ms. Ernst has handled thousands of criminal cases, vigorously defending, her clients from all manner of charges, ranging from disorderly conduct to homicides and sex assaults. Ms. Ernst has also represented parties and their children in hundreds of domestic relations cases and other such matters such as restraining order cases and landlord tenant disputes.


Ms. Ernst's tenacity is well respected by her colleagues, as well as judges and opposing counsel. She never backs down from a fight, and she is tireless in pursuing positive results for her clients. She has tried dozens of cases earning many acquittals. Ms. Ernst is dedicated to providing the highest quality legal services for every client, and believes that every person has an unequivocal right to the best possible representation. The belief that all people are entitled to zealous advocacy drives her every day of her law practice. 


While Ms. Ernst has extensive knowledge of courtroom proceedings and Colorado law, she continues to enjoy learning, and is always expanding her knowledge by staying current with new developments in legislation and attending legal seminars. Ms. Ernst has been certified as a Guardian Ad Litem by the Colorado Office of the Child Representative in Dependency and Neglect Actions and as a Child Legal Representative in divorce and custody matters.
